Ceremony/Reception: Scarborough Renaissance Festival, Waxahachie, TX

We met Christa and Chris back in January of this year in Waco, TX, where they went to school at Baylor University.  They were telling us about having their wedding at the Scarborough Renaissance Festival in Waxahachie, TX – and I immediately have the pictures of fairies, for whatever reason in my head 🙂  We knew it was going to be a really interesting wedding ceremony and celebration.

The theme of that weekend was pirates.

A Dallas local photographer, Carter Rose, came by to help me out that day.  Thanks Carter!!!

Here are a few images from their wedding day:

Carter shot this image of Christa that I really like – as well as the one below:

Chris’ mom is holding Christa’s father’s picture – he has passed away one year ago and this is her way of having him there at the wedding.

This has got to be one of the most interesting wedding cakes I have ever seen….

During the toast, everyone was paying attention except the bridesmaids who were busy eating 🙂

Anna, Chris’ sister, was showing to the guests cameras… i just like it when a picture has both digital cameras, film cameras, video cameras, AND a SWORD.

One of the bridesmaids, Samantha, caught the bouquet (and she got married 2 weeks later!)

My second shooter/assistant Carter caught the garter!!!  (He’s married already though…)

Yes!!  Finally saw a fairy!    She went by while we were doing some formals/portraits of Chris and Christa and started to pose for me…

Congratulations Christa and Chris!!
