Yes!  A fabulous Saint Patrick’s Day wedding!

Jessica and Ryan was married on March 17th, 2012 at the Houstonian Hotel in Houston, Texas.   And, officially, this is the last sibling’s wedding from Alex and Nathalie (Alex is Jessica’s brother.  Nathalie, Nathan and Megan are siblings that we photographed at their weddings since 2008).   We also photographed her bridal at the Houstonian as well.

Ryan has such a great laugh – love it!!

Hazel and I met Katie for her wedding in Fort Worth on a cold December night in 2007.  From that one quick meeting, it grew into a four year, multiple-weddings and connections with 7 different families and 5 couples, their weddings, bridals and engagement sessions.

Katie and Nate got married on March 29, 2008 at the Fort Worth Botanical Garden:

A year later, Ashley and Jimmy got married at the Mansion at Judges’ Hill in Austin, Texas - on June 13th, 2009 (one day before my birthday, remembered it well ).  She was referred by Nate’s sister, Nathalie, and yes, they had a great reception, one of my best in 2009:

I was really surprised when Nathalie called me about her wedding and asked for dates that I am open for her wedding at Houston Yacht Club.   Her wedding was on May 22nd, 2010:

Catching the bouquet – Jessica (being hoisted up) ALMOST got the bouquet, just like Nathalie…   This picture placed top 10 in the reception category of WPJA in 2010 as well:

As I drove to Megan and Jonathan’s wedding at her parents private residence on September 10th, 2011, Nate (Megan’s brother) said to me “Sorry, Tony, I ran out of sisters!”    Then Alex, Jessica’s brother, said the same thing to me since her wedding was booked for March of next year.

And this year, on March 17th, 2012, Jessica got married to Ryan at the Houstonian – here is one sneak peek image (blog post coming up next!)

Isn’t it amazing?  One meeting in 2007 and resulted in meeting and working with at least 5 great couples and 7 families.   There are actually more connections than this – for example, Kristen of Kristen + Mike knows Jessica from her sorority, both Alex and Nathalie know Wendy and John, and another couple also named Jessica + Ryan knows Ashley and Jimmy (She works with Ashley).   We feel really blessed to be part of all of their days  One meeting and we get to meet and be part of five couple’s one of the  most important days in their lives – what could be better than that??

Part two of Jennifer and Sameer’s wedding continues.   What a party!

Yes, they changed out of the western clothes and gotten into the traditional Indian clothing.   Sameer’s father explained that their family are from the warrior caste – hence, the sword and the veil that Sameer wears.

Our second photographer/associate photographer Ashley Eddleman came up to Dallas to help me out – she did a great job covering Jennifer while I was downstairs in the rain with Sameer’s baraat.

The 4th clothing change of the weekend!

Congratulations Jennifer and Sameer!!  What an exhilarating and amazing weekend!

When I photographed Jennifer and Sameer’s engagement session in Austin last year, I knew their wedding would be very special and very emotional.  They were so fun to photograph and very natural in front of the camera.

We are presenting their wedding highlights in two parts because they celebrated their day with TWO ceremonies, starting off with a Christian ceremony and a traditional Indian ceremony.   Part one of this blog focuses on the getting ready part of the day, as well as the christian ceremony itself.  The second blog will focus on the Indian ceremony and the amazing reception afterwards.  If you have never photographed or witness a two ceremonies plus reception wedding day, you’ll need a marathon stamina to photograph it all for 14 hours.

You gotta LOVE the colors at an Indian wedding!   We start the year off at the Omni Mandalay Hotel in Las Colinas, Texas with an Indian sangeet (pre-wedding celebration) on Friday night for Jennifer and Sameer.  After photographing this night, I really wanted to get a nice blue/pink backdrop combo for our photobooth setup!

Cynthia and Nicholas are attorneys and lead a very busy life – Nicholas was on his way to Dallas for a 3-4 month project that will make him unavailable for the engagement sesh, so we made the last minute decision to meet in Gruene (along with fighting the weather in February!) for some photos.

Drove to the Texas A&M campus last month for some photos around campus as well as at the Century Tree where James proposed to Elizabeth.

James is an active US military serviceman in the airforce and the couple will get married in Dripping Springs in June. Looking forward to it!!
