I met Thao and Michael back in July of this year for their wedding next March. They were very laid back and we hit it off pretty well. So when the time comes for their engagement session, I had a feeling they wanted something casual and just go with the flow and see what happens – we met at City Hall and proceeded from there. It was a HOT day (December 15, 2008) before it went down to 30 F on Monday 🙂

Here are a few sneak peak images of their engagement session… first, the obligatory kiss images 🙂

It’s night time 🙂 Actually it’s just one of wall posters near downtown…

Again, risking our lives for the shot 🙂 It looks like they’re all alone… (except about 15 cars behind me..)

Michael wanted to pick her up at some point – why not do it at the best Pick-Up bar in Austin? 🙂

A random guy went up and starts to sing for them (no, seriously… anything can happen at these engagement sessions downtown…)

Thao decided to do some target practice on Michael with a dart… I had to remind her not to actually throw the dart – Michael does look a bit scared though…

Last 20 seconds of sunlight…..

Congratulations Thao and Michael! I’ll see you at the wedding in March!
